Rent payments and additional charges are due on the first of every month and are considered late on the 2nd of the month. An initial late fee of $50 will be charged on the 2nd and a $10 daily late fee will apply until any balance is paid in full.
As a resident at Vertex, you have the peace of mind knowing you have on-site maintenance. You can contact after hours maintenance at (850) 586-8507. If it is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
Maintenance emergencies are any of the following:
Packages must be picked up by the resident the package is addressed to, unless the office receives written permission from the resident to release the package to someone else.
If you wish to park in the lot, please contact the leasing office for availability (850) 580-3333. There is plenty of parking for our residents at Vertex, just let our leasing staff know you will be using the parking lot.
We want you to be informed of what is happening here at Vertex. We will send community event invites, friendly reminders and other updates directly to your email. We will also occasionally text you with important items. Legal notices will be posted to your door. Keep an eye out on your inbox for messages from your Vertex Team.
While we will do what we can to help, the residents are responsible for the safety of their property. We encourage you to be proactive when storing your outdoor items. Please secure your bikes with locks, insure your car doors are locked, and any items that may entice a break-in are placed out of view or brought into your apartment.
Renter’s insurance can help protect or replace your belongings in a situation when the damage was not caused by you, such as fire, flood or burglary. Renters insurance can help protect you from financial impact or liability in case of injuries in your apartment and damage to the landlord’s property or your neighbors’. Vertex is not responsible for these items. Visit the leasing office for more information.
If you’re locked out, don’t worry! One of the many perks of having onsite maintenance is that we can quickly and easily get you back into your home. If it’s during business hours, call or stop by the leasing office (850) 580-3333 and our amazing leasing agents can help. If it’s after hours call the after-hours maintenance line at (850) 586-8507. Lockout charges may apply. Replacement keys can be made by the office for a fee of $35 per key.
Pool hours are the same as our leasing office hours.

Our community is in a prime location to utilize Tallahassee public transport options as well as the Seminole Express Bus Service, which will take you directly to FSU’s campus. The Tomahawk (TO) line runs on Jackson Bluff Rd. right in front of Vertex. We are also only a 10 minute walk from campus!

Payments are made through a secure online payment system (here) or can be paid in person at the leasing office.

During your application process, you will complete a roommate matching form with a series of lifestyle questions and preferences. We use this information to match you with a roommate or roommates that will be compatible. While we obviously can’t guarantee that you will become best friends, many of our residents have!

As a resident at Vertex, you will have onsite maintenance. You can put in a work order on your online resident portal or you can call the leasing office (850) 580-3333 to put in a work order with our leasing agents. We will take care of your issues as fast as possible.

Any packages that do not fit in your mailbox may be delivered and stored safely in the leasing office until you pick them up. As it states in your lease, we do not accept responsibility for missing or lost packages.
Yes, since they are in the same unit, but each bedroom door has a lock.
All of our leases are term leases for 12 months. They begin in August and will end August of the following year. We do allow you to sublet your lease to someone else upon paying a $300 subletting fee. Other restrictions apply, so please see the leasing office for details. The office may also be able to help you find someone to sublet if there are no vacancies within the building.
